Ben Clarfield

Ben Clarfield is entering his 18th season with the Warriors and his third as Director of Golden State Sports Academy. In his role, Clarfield is responsible for the marketing and promotion of all programs, website development, social media efforts, developing drills, hiring, scheduling and training coaches and promoting good sportsmanship through competitive and safe play. 

Clarfield currently oversees a team that manages one of the largest youth basketball programs in the NBA with more than 85,000 participants from all over the world and 7,000 camps hosted in its 25-year history. In addition to camps, Clarfield is responsible for Warrior for a Day clinics and community basketball events for many of the Warriors corporate partners and clients, including two clinics at BYU Hawaii during Warriors Training Camp this preseason.

Alongside Vice President Jeff Addiego, Clarfield has also helped to direct various high-profile camps including: Splash Brothers Fantasy Basketball Clinic (featuring Stephen and Dell Curry & Klay and Mychal Thompson); the Gold Medal Edition Fantasy Basketball Clinic (featuring Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson & Draymond Green); The Overnight Camp featuring 2022 NBA Champions – Gary Payton II, Juan Toscano-Anderson & Damion Lee; and most recently The Overnight Camps featuring Gary Payton II, Gui Santos, Brandin Podziemski, and Trayce Jackson-Davis.  

Clarfield joined the Warriors after completing his degree in Sociology with a minor in Sports Management at UC Santa Barbara in 2007. While attending Santa Barbara, he assisted with recruiting and was the team manager for the men’s basketball team for two seasons.
