Frequently Asked Questions
Please note: these FAQs are intended to provide a summary of frequently asked questions with regard to 2026 Summer Basketball Camps. In no way are these FAQs intended to replace, amend or otherwise revise any terms that apply to 2026 Summer Basketball Camp sessions.
What is your cancellation policy?
All camp registration fees are non-refundable. In the event you need to cancel any registration, you can switch to another session, subject to availability, or you can receive a full credit for the amount paid. That credit can be used towards any future Golden State Sports Academy program for up to a calendar year after the date the credit was issued.
What does my child need to bring?
Your child should come dressed and ready to play (shorts/sweats and athletic shoes). They will receive a jersey at check-in to wear for camp.
Do you provide food?
Each child will be responsible for bringing their own food/snacks. We do NOT provide food. All campers will also need their own water bottle/drink to use. Food cannot be shared.
Can my child be grouped with a friend?
Children are grouped by age (date of birth) and then adjusted by ability if necessary. If you would like to request multiple children to be grouped together, please email academy@goldenstate.com with a list the names of the participants and the session they are registered for. We cannot guarantee that all requests will be honored.
Do you offer early drop off/late pickup?
2026 Summer Basketball Camps offer pre and post workouts at most summer weeklong sessions of camp. These small group workouts can be used as a form of extended care, but also provide structured workouts for your child. Pre camp workouts are Tuesday-Friday from 8-8:50am and Post camp workouts are Monday-Thursday from 3:10-4pm. Children MAY NOT be dropped off prior to 8am and must be picked up at 4pm sharp. Each option is available for an additional fee.
How do I get my game tickets?
Once registered for a 2025 Summer basketball camp, more information on how to receive your Valkyries tickets and how to redeem your Warriors ticket credit will be communicated via email.
Can I stay and watch?
Parents or guardians are welcome to stay and observe, but please note that seating may be limited or unavailable at certain facilities.
Will there be a player at camp?
We try to bring a special guest (e.g. a current or former player) to visit as many camps as possible, but please note that there is no guarantee of any such appearance.
Who are the coaches?
